Designed by Alexia Marcella Abegg for Ruby Star Society, we have this drapey, slubby heavier weight yarn-dyed woven cotton with a 6cm wide deckchair stripe in sunny colours.
This is the same fabric base as the chore coat stripe, but it is a narrow, pre-hemmed version that you can easily use to make tea towels etc. All you have to do is cut it to your chosen length and hem the cut sides et voilà!
The stripes run along the grain, so if you do make tea towels they will have vertical stripes.
Of course you can use this to make garments too, just be aware of the width and the fact that what would normally be your selvedges have already been hemmed.
Ruby Star Society have a tutorial on how to use this fabric to make a simple jacket, you can find it here.
Priced per QUARTER metre.
Width: 40.6 cm (16")
Composition: 100% Cotton
Weight: Approx. 325 g/m2
