Complete Beginners: One Day Sewing Workshop 'Sew a Patchwork Tote Bag' Wednesday 19th February 10am-4pm

Want to learn how to use a sewing machine? Why not try our introduction to machine sewing?

We'll spend the day getting used to using a sewing machine and making a simple patchwork tote bag.

This workshop is perfect for people who have never sewn before or who want to start with the basics of using a sewing machine. There are a maximum of four spaces so don't wait too long to book your spot!

You'll spend the day in our Making Space, with full use of our Janome computerised sewing machines. Tea and coffee is available but you will need to bring your own lunch - or get something during the lunch break, we're right in the town centre!

All materials and sewing equipment will be provided for you.

The workshop is fairly accessible, but if you have any special requirements as far as access or seating goes please do get in touch and we'll see what we can do.

For this workshop teens over 16 are welcome as long as they are able to participate independently and contact details for a responsible adult who will be reachable on the day have been provided. There will be a lunch break during which time all participants will be able to go out and get a bite to eat or some fresh air - your child may be unsupervised during this time, please do not book if this is a problem for you.

We only run these workshops if enough places are filled. If you change your mind or circumstances mean that you can no longer take part, please let us know as soon as possible. You can cancel your booking up to one week before the class is due to start, after that we will only refund you if we are able to fill your place.
