Summer 2026 at Catkin & Scraps

Years have different speeds don’t they? Some just crawl by, but I think 2026 is a whizzy one and so it’s suddenly summer and the school holidays are nearly upon us.

This is the last week of the current crop of 6-week courses, then I have a few workshops and then I’m off on a little holiday to the Netherlands with Iris, who I suspect will bankrupt me in the shops, which is good news for you because I’ll need to do lots of teaching to make up for it!

In July and August I have lots of options if you want to continue sewing over the summer, from Summer Sewing Sessions, to one-day Beginner Workshops, to UFO Days, Skill Builders and of course Sewcials and Saturday morning Beginner Sessions, hopefully there will be something for everyone.

So I’ve attached a little overview of what’s going on this summer, just be aware that some of these are already full and others are filling up fast - if you fancy it, book it!

The new round of six-week courses start in the first week of September. The price is going up by £5 and there will be concession rates for those that need it. They will stay on the same days and times (Tues 7pm, Wed 1pm, Thurs 2pm, Fri 2pm, Sat 4pm) and are mostly already full, I’m just finalising numbers with my current students over the coming week or so. If there’s a particular slot that you’re interested in, do let me know and I’ll put you on the waiting list, sometimes something does become available at short notice.

Have a lovely summer everyone, stay cool!
