Premium Hessian
Metre Price: £9
A good quality hessian fabric, handy for lots of things!
Hessian (also known as burlap) is a rough, rustic fabric traditionally used for making sacks and in upholstery.
This particular one being of good quality, doesn't shed as much as a lower quality hessian does. It's fairly smooth and evenly woven and has a lot of body.
You can use it for all sorts of craft projects - it makes great storage baskets and is also perfect for traditional looking christmassy makes, especially when teamed with tartan or gingham!
Expect some slubs and imperfections - this is a rustic fabric! It also has a very characteristic smell which is typical of hessian and comes from the jute fibres.
Priced per QUARTER metre. Your fabric will come as a continuous piece.
