Sew Different: Artist's Smock

A paper sewing pattern by UK Indie Pattern company Sew Different.

This is a pattern from the 'Quick Makes' Range which are very quick and easy to make and come in minimal packaging (which we are happy to see is now plastic-free!)

The Artist’s Smock is a loose fitting top that pulls on over your head – no need for a zip. It has inset three-quarter length sleeves and a little stand up collar – Jackie Onassis style! The oversize patch pockets are perfect for keeping your paintbrushes, bobbins and scissors in.

It can be easily converted into a “for men” style by eliminating the bust darts and cutting the front to the same length as the back piece.

Pattern contains UK sizes 8-10, 12-14, 16-18, 20-22 and 24-26

Fabric type: suitable for most medium weight fabrics such as drill and twill, denim, heavy cottons, scuba, ponte de roma, stretch velvet, linen, soft corduroy and lightweight wools.

Fabric Quantity:

150 cm / 60” wide
All sizes: 1.6 m (1.75 yds)

112 cm / 45” wide
All sizes: 2.75m (3yds)

Difficulty: Very Easy
