A paper sewing pattern by UK Indie pattern company Sew Different.
The Scoop Pinafore is a casual over-the-head tunic designed to wear over a top.
The statement square neckline contrasts with the scooped sides, which house large and comfy pockets.
The skirt has a slight bubble hem and sits just above the knee (for a 5 ft 8" height).
The bodice only is lined. No zip or closures needed.
SUGGESTED FABRICS: Most mid-weight fabrics such as cotton, linen, denim, corduroy, velvet, wool, double knit.
The pattern contains UK sizes 8-26 (US 4-22)
Fabric Quantity:
150cm / 60” WIDE: 2 m (2 yds)
112cm / 45” WIDE: 2.5 m (2.75 yds) Cut across the grain, so this width is NOT suitable for fabrics with a nap, such as velvet.
If you make a contrast side panel you'll need 0.5 m (1/2 yd) of the contrast fabric and the same less of the main fabric.
Lining: 0.5 m (1/2 yd)
You'll also need 1.25 m of bias binding.

PS: The second pic is of me wearing my own Scoop Pinafore, made up in a size 14 using our 9 oz dark blue denim.
