Never sewn a pair of trousers before? Not to worry, the pattern is deceptively easy. Thanks to the super-forgiving fit and a trick learned from post-maternity trousers (a knit elastic waistband is everyone’s friend!) you won’t have to fret about fitting these jeans. With functioning patch pockets in the back and faux front pockets and fly, you can whip these up in a day.
Suggested fabrics: Mid-weight woven cotton-spandex blend.
Waistband: medium- to heavy-weight interlock or rib knit.
Fabric requirements: 44-45” (112-114 cm) wide main fabric: 2-1/4 yards (2.1 m) // knit fabric for waistband: 1/4 yard (0.2 m).
Sizing: UK 6-24 (US 2–20)
Notions: Coordinating thread; 1-1/2” wide non-roll elastic.
