Tauko Sewing Pattern Magazine Issue 1

There's a new sewing magazine on the block, and we love it!

This 128-page collectable magazine is printed on high quality paper and is one of those magazines that you will love to have out on display, it looks so good!

It's also super inclusive, featuring models from all sorts of backgrounds and patterns in a good range of sizes. It's aimed at home sewists around the world who are looking for something a bit new, a bit different.

It's packed with interesting articles and each issue also includes at least 10 printed sewing patterns, which you do need to trace off (seam allowances are included though.) These patterns tend to be on the unusual side, with interesting features. There's a good range of difficulty so there should be something for everybody!

The sizing is pretty good, the smallest size is B78cm(30.7") W62cm (24.4") H86cm (33.9") and the largest is B146cm (57.5") W130cm (51.2") H154cm (60.6".)

This first issue has “The Age of the Makers” is its theme, with essays and columns by
Orsola de Castro, Sonya Philip and Wambui Njuguna-Räisänen. Experts from different
professions in the field of fashion and textile share their experience and ponder the question “Could makers revolutionise the fashion industry?”

The patterns in this issue were designed by: Ivona Fodora, Minna Konttijärvi, Mila Moisio, Johanna Morris, Casey Sibley, Evelyn Sitter, Marie
Stamm, Miriam Strotkötter, and Kaisa Rissanen.
