The Canvas Jacket sewing pattern is perfect as an outerwear piece in transitional weather or a modern alternative to the classic cardigan for a day in the office. The two-piece sleeves are roomy enough to layer over a knit in the cooler months. The Canvas Jacket comes alive with chunky topstitches. A retro Barnyard or carpenters jacket for woven fabric such as canvas, denim, corduroy, or cotton drill.
Skill level 2/4: The canvas jacket is a fairly simple project. The instructions are illustrated step by step. An adventurous beginner can complete the project.
Fabric and notions: The jacket is suitable for all medium-weight woven fabrics such as cotton, linen, wool, or other fabrics that are comfortable to wear. Choose interfacing that works with the weight of the fabric. Choose the button size as indicated in the size spec.
